

Daniel G. Detore age 67 of Lincoln passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at his home in Lincoln surrounded by his family. He was born on April 19, 1949 in Huron, South Dakota to Dominick and Jean (Hawkins) Detore. He attended Lincoln Northeast High School. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Dan married Rebecca Smith on December 23, 1972 in Craig, Missouri and they had two beautiful daughters. Dan was a skilled concrete finisher, working for Hank Buis Construction and Dave Larson Construction for over 42 years. Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Becky, daughters, Jenn and Devin Reinke, Shelley and Chad Lyon both of Lincoln, grandsons, Spencer, Colby and Noah Lyon, Drake Reinke, granddaughter, Paige Bradley, mother, Jean Woodbury of Unadilla, NE, step-mother, Virginia Detore of Omaha, brothers, Tom and Eileen Detore of Columbia, MO, Bill and Nancy Detore of Spanaway, WA, sisters, Cathy Yaeger of Lincoln, Joyce and Steve Steyer of Council Bluffs, Diana and Len Clapper of Omaha, Donna Deloski of Wisconsin, Sandy and Rick Brown of Bellevue, uncle, Lynn and Valerie Hawkins of Sturgis, SD, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters in-law. He is preceded in death by his father and his grandparents. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Bible Church, 6201 S. 84th Street, Lincoln. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends and relatives from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. One hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Burial with Military Honors will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
