Daniel M Garza

A celebration of life service, burial and reception will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 30 at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512, Reverend Roy Miller will be officiating. Friends are invited to join the family directly after the burial. A vistitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 4-8 pm in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Boys Town in Boys Town, Nebraska.

Daniel was born June 3, 1947 in San Francisco, California to Louis and Nora (Lusero) Garza. He graduated from Boys Town in 1965 and served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968. On July 30, 1971, he married his wife of 45 years Paula. Daniel was employed by the United States Postal Service for many years until his retirement in 2013. He enjoyed walking hand and hand with Paula while walking their dog Baxter. He also loved visiting his son, Jeff, and daughter-in-law, Nga, and being entertained by his grandchildren.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Paula; son, Jeffrey and his wife Nga of Grand Rapids, MI; two grandchildren, Matiana and Micah; his sister Nora of Rockledge, FL, Ynnocenio (Al) of Grand Island, NE, Gabriel Garza of Austin, TX, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Nora, and his brother Louis.
