Dennis Navratil, 82 of Crete passed away March 12, 2015. Dennis was born March 18, 1932 to Louis and Ana Navratil at Crete, NE. He was a retiree of the Nebraska Air National Guard; past State Commander of the Nebraska American Legion; a member of Hallam American Legion Post #294; Crete VFW Post #4959; Crete Eagles #3909 and the Crete United Church of Christ. Survivors include his daughter, Debra (Chuck) Haefele; son, Larry (April) Navratil; daughter, Karen (Rick) Vernon; daughter, Charlotte Hejl; son, Scott (Lisa) Navratil; eight grandsons; five granddaughters; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; his brother, Marv (Darlene) Navratil; brother, Bernard (Beth) Navratil; sister, Ana Lou (Larry) Roth; and sister in law, Dorothy Pillard. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Navratil and granddaughter, Kelsey. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday March 16, 2015 at the United Church of Christ in Crete. Interment will be at 1:00 PM on Monday at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 until 6 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials in his memory may be directed to the family for future designation.
