Dorothy Ann Vandersall was born in Boston on April 26, 1944, to Amy W. & Stanley T. Vandersall. She died in Lincoln on March 17, 2026, after residing in Nebraska for many years. Developmentally disabled, with epilepsy and other health problems, she wasn’t schooled, but was a client instead at a sheltered workshop. She participated at a senior center and sang in choir at church. Once or twice she entered Special Olympics!
Dorothy is survived by her twin Diana Rippel (Mike, deceased) and younger sister Patricia Gudmunson (Gregg); 2 nieces & 3 nephews; their spouses; and 3 grand-nieces & 3 grand-nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 11 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. Optional walk to gravesite (to place real flowers) will follow, although burial of ashes next to her parents will happen later in the week.
