Helen was born on April 19, 1941 in Mitchell, Nebraska to Herbert and Pauline (Scheidt) Heinbigner. At a young age, she and her family moved to Lincoln. Helen attended elementary school at West Lincoln, and later attended Whittier Junior High School. After her family moved to Belmont, she met the love of her life, Marvin E. Little. After a few years of dating, Marvin proposed to her on the only dirt road remaining in Belmont, on Lewis Avenue. After a 2 year engagement, they were married on September 4, 1959, and permanently settled in their family home in Belmont, in 1967 where they raised their 3 daughters, Judy, Jeani, and Dawn. Helen was a bindery supervisor at Joe Christensen’s Printing. She began working there in 1973, and retired in 2006. Helen loved her grandkids and great grandkids very much. She enjoyed spending time with them and attending their events. Helen was the biggest Husker Football Fan, and most notorious critic if they were losing. If they lost, it was best to avoid calling her for a bit after the loss. You knew exactly where you stood with Helen. She was never shy about voicing her opinion. She enjoyed attending sporting events, going for drives, traveling, camping, and playing the slots. She loved her Diet Coke, and you didn’t dare take the last cold one out of the fridge. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, which became Spirit of Hope Church. Helen was a loving and giving person, and had a great sense of intuition. She welcomed people into her home and into her heart. Everyone was treated like they were a part of the family. Recently, Helen was given another obstacle in her health. She fought with everything she had. On Monday, July 4th, 2022, surrounded by family, Helen was reunited with her husband, and went home.
