James R. “Jim” Burch age 67 of Lincoln, died Wednesday. Born in Ogallala, NE to Francis Hamilton and Grace Ellenor (Mayden) Burch. Preceded in death by his parents; step-father Pat; siblings Donna, Linda, Douglas and Mark; son Curtis Helms. Survived by his wife Helen; children Erin-Michelle (Marvin) Burch Leatham, Melanie Hamilton Burch Helms, David Charles (Rhonda) Burch, Hillary (Michael) Burch Maness; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; brothers Gary Hamilton (Mary) Burch, Bradford (Jackie) Southwick, Bruce (Lotus) Southwick, Guy Southwick; sister-in-law Julie Southwick, nieces and nephews. Memorial service 11:00am Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Church of Latter-Day Saints 3100 Old Cheney Road Lincoln, NE. Visitation Monday from 4-8pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE with family receiving friends from 5-7pm. Memorials to the LDS Humanitarian Fund.
