Jasmyn Justina Chalk was born in Lincoln, NE on July 27, 1998 to Byron Chalk and Amber (Stanard) Bax. She passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2019 from her injuries sustained in a car accident. She is survived by her parents, Byron Chalk and Amber and Randy Bax; brother, Isaac Chalk, sisters, Ryleigh Bax and Serenity Chalk, maternal grandparents, Teresa and Mark Riggs, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jasmyn was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Bonnie Chalk, cousin, Stephen Chalk, and maternal grandfather, Jim Irwin.
Jasmyn had a huge heart and a tendency to put others’ needs before her own. Jasmyn was obsessed with sharks. She enjoyed watching scary movies. She was a thrill seeker and loved roller coasters and other thrill rides. Growing up, Jasmyn enjoyed competitive cheerleading and was given the opportunity to travel for that. You would often see Jasmyn wearing ridiculous adult onesies or PJ’s and slippers. She loved her cats Steelo and Chanel.
A Celebration of Jasmyn’s Life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please help us make a monetary donation to Boys Town in her honor. A memorial fund has been set up at Union Bank and Trust.
