Jerry Alyan Young, 75 of Lincoln passed away May 12, 2015. He was born March 10, 1940 in Eau Claire, WI to Thomas and Alyce Young. He served in the United States Air Force for 6 years and the Army Reserve for 2 years. Jerry retired from Bryan Hospital in 2000. He loved hunting, fishing and was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan. Jerry is survived by his wife Cathy; daughter Susan (Lothar) Brandstadter; son Thomas Young, daughter Christine (Holger) Goebel, son David (Alex) Young, son Steven Young; all of Germany. Daughter, Angela Hennington (Orville) Monfelt of Lincoln, son Michael (Melinda) Hennington of Fresno, CA. Grandchildren Melanie, Jennifer, Steven, Mircea, Marian all of Germany, Kayleigh, Faith, Grace of Lincoln, Paige of Fresno, CA. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Alyce Young and granddaughter Hope Reagan Pekarek. Funeral service will be Monday, May18, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln. A visitation will be held Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 2:00 PM till 6:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial can be made to the Southwood Lutheran Youth Program.
