

Kenneth was the eldest of eight children and graduated from Big Cabin High School in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the Army in 1943 to serve three years in WWII in the China – Burma – India theater. He married Norma Faye Oliver on October 3, 1949. In 1949, he joined the Nebraska Air National Guard and rose to the rank of CMSGT until his retirement in 1980, serving 39 total years. After his retirement he served in many local organizations including Meals on Wheels, Mad Dads, and the Veterans Memorial Garden.
He is preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; two sons, Mark and Mike; daughter-in-law, Pamela; brother, Vernon; sister, Donna Sue.
Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln Parks Foundation in support of the Veterans Memorial Garden Programming or the Inclusive Play Fund, honoring Kenneth’s passion for veterans and creating opportunities for children to play and thrive.
A memorial service for Kenneth will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
