

Kyle was born on December 27, 1968, in Elwood, Nebraska to Jack and Marlys Bellamy and was raised in Arapahoe, Nebraska. He graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1987 and went on to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University where he graduated with a degree in Computer Science in 1993.
Kyle always had a love for sports from playing to coaching. In high school, he played football, basketball, track, and golf. After high school, he played tight end at Wesleyan University. Once he started his family, his love changed to coaching his children in volleyball, football, baseball, ice hockey and roller hockey. He was an Athletic Director for Leon’s Football and a board member for Lincoln Youth Football. He was also a lifelong Husker and Dallas Cowboys fan.
He was proud to serve in the U.S. Air Force from 1987 to 1994 where he was an aircraft mechanic. Kyle was a Computer Programmer/Software Engineer for most of his career. He retired in October from Telesis where he had been the IT Director, Director of Manufacturing for Data Security and most recently had joined their hydroponics team working passionately on various projects.
On February 22, 2002, Kyle married Michelle Frahm in Frisco, CO and was happy to become a Step-dad to Kameron Heyen. They welcomed a daughter, Makenzy in 2003 and a son, Kyson in 2006. Kyle was a devoted father who loved to share stories and accomplishments about all three of the kids.
When younger, Kyle enjoyed working on cars with his dad. Later in life, whenever Kyle found free time, he was in his element working in the shop on various cars with his brother Matt and his son Kyson.
He was always working on new, interesting projects. His final enjoyment focused on horses and barrel racing with his daughter Makenzy.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Michelle, Mother, Marlys Bellamy of Lincoln, Children, Makenzy and Kyson, Step-Son, Kameron Heyen of Lincoln, Sister, Tracy Bellamy of Omaha, Brothers, Bret and Matt (Paula) both of Lincoln, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. He was proceeded in death by his Father, Jack.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Horizons Community Church, 3200 Grainger Parkway, Lincoln, NE on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 10:30am.
