Lary Dale Lechtenberger

Lary was born on December 10, 1950 in Geneva, NE. He graduated from High School in 1969 and joined the Navy shortly thereafter. He was stationed state side in Georgia after training. He was discharged for years later and joined the reserves for 7 years.

In May of 1977, Lary was employed at the Nebraska State Penitentiary managing the clothing issue department. Later, he moved to the custody staff as an Officer and then a Corporal. During his 37 year career in corrections he received many accommodations. Including, a merit raise and Employee of the Month. He intended to retire November 30 of this year.

Lary was married to Jennette and had 3 Children, but was divorced. He was re-married on September 12, 1991 to his current wife of 23 years, Fran. Movies, Bowling, Fishing and Golf were his favorite past times. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ceresco, where his wife and he built a home 18 years ago.

Survivors include wife Fran. Daughters: Amber (Cory) Chandler and Autumn Lechtenberger. Son: Jason (Christina) Lechtenberger. Step-daughter: Dawn. Grandchildren: Caleb, Connor, Kylie, Hudson, Tiffany, Chelsea, Nathan, Megan and Mikayla. Great-Grandchildren: Tanner and Tyson. Nephews: Ben and Charlie. Niece: Alison. Many cousins. Mother: Wynona.
