Leonard W. Martin, age 84, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Monday March 26, 2018. Leonard was born July 16, 1933 in Clay Center, Kansas to Leonard and Edna Martin. Leonard served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, a member of Aldersgate UMC , VFW #3606, Past Master of Cotner Masonic Lodge # 297, Past Patron of Columbia Chapter #275 OES, Sesostris Shrine member, a member of the Burlington Retirees Club, a life long Cleveland Indians fan and a lover of music, dancing, and stamp collecting. Most importantly, a man who loved his family unconditionally and without question.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Kaylene L Martin; daughters Trudi (Kevin) Thornburg, and Jody (Dave) Showen; grandchildren: Nikki (Chris) Lahmon and Kali; Marty L Showen and Lauren; Dyana (Glenn) Burton and Brooke, Kolyn, and Avery; Donald (Christina) Dissmeyer and Mylee, Devyn, and Carly; Megan Thornburg and Joshua; Dillon Showen and Kristi Thornburg. Three sisters: Colleen, Patricia and Mary and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Edna; brothers Leonard Jr, Leo, John and sister Virginia.
A viewing for Leonard will be held 5pm-7pm Thursday, March 29, 2018. Funeral service 11am Friday, March 30, 2018. All at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home - 6800 S 14th St.
