Lisa Laabs, age 59, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Lisa was born October 30, 1963 to Galen and Georgia Phillips. Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 19 years Jeff Laabs; children, Bradley Bye and Mike (Josie) Harriman; siblings, Julie, Ron, Sharron, Bill, Patty and Mary; grandchildren, Layla, Micah, Autumn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lisa loved her family and friends with all her heart.
She loved doing things for others and having holiday get togethers.
Lisa was a cosmetologist, worked in retail as management and was a realtor.
She had many friends from all walks of life, and had a smile and laugh that lite up the room.
Lisa loved animals and couldn’t resist bringing a special one home, from her horse Kola she found at a horse sale to Jack the rabbit.
Lisa finally got her big dream fulfilled by getting her own Harley Davidson. She loved to ride and be with her friends on the road.
Even though most people think of Lisa as a city girl she loved the country. When we lived in the country by Sterling people would come from all over to see her beautiful garden. She had to have dozens of tomatoes, peppers and other plants but didn’t realize how much we would be picking and canning. Baskets full every day…
She loved her chickens and had many. Some were layers and pets but some we butchered. Thank god Josie was there to help as Mike was not having any part of it.
She had goats and one in particular was a pigmy goat named Nacho. He was such a good little guy but the smell was horrendous!
Lisa was well read and craved learning new things. She was a wealth of knowledge and always tried to help others with what she learned. She taught many so much in her time here.
There will never be another Lisa!
