Marjorie A Grossman

Born on January 6, 1939, Marge was raised in Dwight, Nebraska. She graduated from Dwight Assumption High School in 1956 and went on to complete her nursing education at St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in 1961. Her dedication to the field of nursing spanned decades. She served as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital and the VA Hospital in Lincoln before concluding her career as an occupational health nurse at the Federal Building in Lincoln, retiring in 2000.

Marge was a devoted member of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, where she found spiritual community and strength throughout her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Bernie of Lincoln; daughter Cindy (James Kalani) Grossman, California; daughter Debra (Scott) Stream, Lincoln; son Edward (Tena) Grossman, Lincoln; grandchildren Tiler (Mara Kaufman) Grossman, Colorado; Spencer (Katie) Stream, Wisconsin; Chase Grossman, Drew Stream, Zane Grossman, and Cassius Grossman, all of Lincoln.

Marge was preceded in death by her eldest son Scott Grossman in 2008; her brother Dennis and sister Betty; and her parents Edward and Agnes Mares of Dwight.

A funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, 3500 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln, NE, on Thursday, February 19, 2026. The Nurses Honor Guard will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 9:45 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 a.m.

Marge’s legacy lives on through her family and those whose lives she touched through her years of compassionate care. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
