Phyllis graduated from El Dorado Spring Missouri High School in 1949. Through mutual friends she met Louis George Keele on a blind date. They were married November 12, 1949 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They were blessed with three children, Gary, David, and Diane.
They moved to Nebraska so Louis could work for Abel Farms. They lived in Lincoln until 1970 moving to Hallam then back to Lincoln in 1975 where they remained.
Phyllis was a homemaker all her life. She loved to read and made many crocheted afghans to give to her family as gifts. After Louis retired they spent many days on the lake fishing and traveling as much as possible. They spent many years walking for exercise at Gateway Mall where they made some of their best friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and stepfather Everett Neil, sister Betty and brother-in-law Edward Alexander, brothers-in-law Clarence, Donald, Billy and Elton Keele, sister-in-law Maxine (Keele) Crane.
Survivors include husband Louis; son Gary (Beth) of Lincoln; David (Melody) of Shellknob, MO; Diane (Steven) Wittstruck of Hallam; brother Jesse (Carolyn) Neil of Gardnerville, NV; sister-in-law Bee Barnes of Concho, AZ; Minnie O'Brien of Mountain Home, AR.
Grandchildren: Christopher (Michelle) Wittstruck; Cory (Stacy) Wittstruck; Jeffrey (Heather) Keele; Benjamin (Nicole) Keele; Karla (Dennis) Leinen; Lindsay (Phillip) Kelly and 16 greatgrandchildren.
Private family service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 2pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior to service. lincolnfh.com
