

Born on April 24, 1961, in Lincoln, Rick was the eldest of 5 boys and beloved son to Henrietta and Jerome C. Davis. He spent his childhood there and graduated from Southeast High School in 1979. He then earned his degree in drafting and pursued a career that reflected his skill, creativity, and attention to detail.
Rick met the love of his life in his teen years, Sherry Kae Dickey, in Lincoln. Together, they built a beautiful life, first in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, before relocating to Edmond, Oklahoma in 2003. In 2013, they fulfilled a lifelong dream by settling at their lake house in McAlester, Oklahoma, on Lake Eufaula - a place of peace, reflection, and joy for their entire family and their 4 fur babies; Meka, Akem, Sukee and Bear Bear.
Rick was a man of many talents and passions. He was a gifted guitarist, a creative artist, and an accomplished woodworker. He will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his quiet strength, his craftsmanship, and the way he brought beauty and meaning into the world through his hands and his heart. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Rick is survived by his father, Jerome C. Davis; his three children, Jessica of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Richard J. and wife Amanda of Yukon, Oklahoma and Kimberly and husband David of Lincoln, Nebraska; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and by his brothers, Matt and Tim.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sherry; his mother, Henrietta; and his brothers, John and Dan.
A Mass will be held Friday, August 8 at 4:00PM at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 735 S 36th St. A Celebration of Life will be held following the Mass at 1st Avenue Social Hall, 2310 N 1st St.
