Roland David Reed, 87, of Lincoln, passed away 1-30-2019. He was born to David and H. Nellie (Wallen) Reed in 1931 on a farm near Burr, NE. He graduated from Lincoln High. He joined the Army and served in Korea, after he was a member of the Army Reserves for six years. He mainly worked construction, the last years were working for the telephone company. He loved music, animals, spending time with family and working outdoors. Roland is survived by his sisters Evelyn Reed–Brockman, Elvira Reed–Witt (Steve), sister-in-law JoAnn Harris-Reed, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dwayne Reed, Arlo Reed; brother-in-law Paul Brockman, sister-in-law Donna Coy–Reed and nephew Thomas Reed. Celebration of Life will be Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 2 until 5 PM at Autumn Wood Community (5633 N. 26th Street) in Lincoln. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials have been suggested to Lancaster Rehabilitation Center, 1001 South Street, Lincoln, NE.
