Sharon Eleanor Harlan

Sharon Eleanor (Scott) Harlan, 87 years old of Hickman, passed away May 4, 2022. Sharon was born on February 6, 1935 in Hickman, NE to Walter and Minnie (Roeder) Scott. She attended school in Hickman and graduated from Hickman High School in 1952. She then attended UNL and received a degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in 1955 at Central Public School District 147 of Lancaster county and later taught for Lincoln Public Schools until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of Hickman Presbyterian Church and PEO Chapter IV and Legion Auxiliary Post #105. She is survived by: Daughter: Becky (Van) O'Connor Son: Jeffrey (Deb) Wismer Son: Theodore Wismer Daughter: Barbara (Randal) Pester Step-daughter: Debora (Kerry) Waymire Step-daughter: Pamela (Darryl) Wilson Step-son: Todd (Lori) Harlan Step-son: Kent (TJ) Harlan 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren Brother Harley (wife Lois) Scott, sister Claudette Moyer. Many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Dale, her parents, siblings Joan (husband Frank) Manley, Bill (wife Laverne) Scott, Shirley (husband Don) Hile, and Dixie (husband John) Kerr, brother-in-law Gary Moyer. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday May 12, 2022, at the Hickman Presbyterian Church. 10:00 a.m. 300 E 3rd St., Hickman, NE 68372.
