

Shelia was born on August 12, 1961, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Theresia and Claude L. Harris. She grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated from Lincoln High School. In 1978, she enlisted in the United States Army, serving actively for two years, followed by five years in the National Guard.
After studying insurance, Shelia began her career at Dairy Land Insurance as a Claims Adjuster, launching a 45-year journey in the industry. Her last position was at Assurity, where she served as a Health Claims Analyst for almost 10 years.
In 1988, Shelia married Stanley D. Loadholt in Lincoln. Together, they built a loving family and raised three daughters.
Shelia was deeply committed to her community and dedicated her time to various charitable organizations. She was also a woman of faith, practicing her beliefs at Mount Zion Baptist Church and Quinn Chapel AME Church.
Shelia was preceded in death by her father, Claude L. Harris.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Stanley; her three loyal daughters, Symone, Sydney, and Sierra; her loving mother, Theresia; her inseparable sister, Sonya R. Harris-Jagenberg; brother-in-law, Christian Jagenberg, ten cherished grandchildren, Ava, Alijah, Sutton, Sebastian, Rowynn, Arnez, Hudson, Noah, Shiah, and Indy; two beloved nieces, Bella and Linnea; admiring son-in-laws Ronnie Trout and Slade Julius; and a host of relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Shelia was truly one of a kind, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her courageous spirit exemplified what can be achieved through determination and perseverance. Among her many roles, she shone brightest as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished "Gigi," and loyal friend.
The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to Bryan Health, Nebraska Hematology and Oncology, and the Tabitha Hospice team for their compassionate care during a difficult time.
A memorial service will be held on February 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial, 6800 S 14th St, Lincoln Nebraska.
Flowers may be sent to the mortuary. However, in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, an organization that supports research and honors Shelia’s courageous battle with cancer.
