Thomas Grant Wicken

Thomas G. Wicken, 80, of Cortland, Nebraska, died on September 7, 2018 in Lincoln. Tom was born in Minnewauken, North Dakota on March 10, 1938 to William Carl and Leora Wicken. Tom graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. He was in the Army from October, 1957 to October 1960. Tom then married RoJane Lueders on November 12, 1960. He worked for Cushman Motor Works for 39 years retiring in 2000, where he also mentored for Junior Achievement. He was an avid golfer, bowler and pitched for the Cortland Men’s fast pitch team. He was also a member of the Cortland Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Tom is survived by sons, Todd (Brenda) of Lincoln, Lee of Lincoln, Troy of Cortland and a new family member, daughter Nancy (Rick) Crow of Wisconsin. 7 Grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Tip (Bill) Tussey, Marti Allen of Colorado and brother, David of Lincoln. RoJane preceded him in death on June 23, 2000.

Services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:00 am. A reception will be held following the services at the Cortland Community Center, Cortland Nebraska. Memorials in lieu of flowers to the family for future designation.
