
Wilma Jean (Long) Wenninger-Alber joined our Lord, May 22, 2105. She was born April 30th 1925 in Bucyrus, Ohio. Wilma was long time resident in the Havelock area of Lincoln, NE of over 40 years. She obtained her masters degree in Social Work and devoted all of her life working to help others. Wilma was an active member with the United Lutheran Church in Havelock, the VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Wilma was united in marriage to Eugene "Bud" Wenninger on Jan 25, 1947 in Marrion, Ohio. They moved to Lincoln, NE after WWII. They were married 51 years unitil his death. She Married Lester Alber on February 19, 2005 and were married until his death in 2007. She was proceeded in death by her parents Andrew P Long and Ann B (Ulmer) Long, her sister Betty Hayes, her niece Dorthy Hayes, Her first husband Bud, her second husband Lester, her step-son Mark Southwick and Brother In Law Harold Alber. She is surrvived by two sister-in-laws, Eunice and Dorthy "Dottie" of Florida. Nephew Ed Hayes of Ohio. Brother and Sister in Law, Ray & Viola Heinrich of Hastings, NE, Sister in Law Myrtis Alber of Blue Hill, NE. Stepchildren, Ron & Shelly Alber of South Carolina, Marcia Alber of Lincoln, NE, Mary Alber of Katy, Tx, Julie Southwick of Raymond, NE and Ken & Julie Alber of Lincoln, NE. Granchildren, Jarred Southwick & Katie Southwick of Lincoln, NE, Emily & Kyle Wylie of Summerville, SC, Morgan Alber of Columbia, SC, Jonah & Jacob of Lincoln, NE. Great grandchild, Emma Glasgow of Lincoln, NE. Funeral service 10:00am Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE. Visitation from 4-8pm Thursday with family receiving friends from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Family and extended family would like to thank everyone who came in remembrance of our beloved Wilma. Memorials will be sent to the Butterfly Pavilion at the Lincoln Children's Zoo.
