Antonia “Lina” Sinicropi, 95, of Elizabeth, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.
Lina immigrated from Gioia Tauro, Italy to the United States as a teenager and became a lifelong resident of Elizabeth, New Jersey. A talented seamstress, Lina built her own business along with her beloved sister and brother in law through dedication and perseverance. She was strong, independent, and ahead of her time.
Lina’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Cooking also brought her great joy, and for Lina, food was love—she found happiness in gathering family and friends around her dinner table. Her generosity and quiet sacrifices were woven into everything she did.
She is survived by her loving children Mary (Sebastian) Fodera, Rosa (Eugenio) Carbone, and Anthony (Cristiane) Sinicropi, her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
She is predeceased and reunited with her beloved husband Anthony Sinicropi, her parents Carmelo and Rosa Stillitano, and her brothers Paul Stillitano and Frank Stillitano, her sisters Domenica Femia, Giovanna Fimmano, Angela Parin, Maria D’Alessandro, and Marfisa Morabito, and her sister in law Josephine Stillitano.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, located at 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden NJ 07036
Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location, beginning at 11:00 am.
The committal service will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 220 Mt Olivet Ave, Newark, NJ 07714, on the same day.
Lina’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
