A lifelong resident of Elizabeth, NJ and graduate of Battin High School, she was a valued employee of the City of Elizabeth for 25 years at the Municipal Court and Violations Department, where she enjoyed spending her days with wonderful coworkers prior to her retirement.
Barbara enjoyed attending the Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth where she made many friends and found great comfort as well as strength in her faith. She was a true angel on earth who embraced Ephesians 4:32: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Barbara is survived by her loving sister and husband, Marie and Andrew Rossner of Summit, NJ as well as her sister-in-law Ruth, seven nieces and nephews: Lisabeth, Teri, Lori, Kari, Peter, Paul and Mark - their spouses, children and grandchildren - each of whom she treasured, along with many friends as well.
She was predeceased in death by her parents John and Bertha Schillinger, step-mother Florence Shirley and beloved brother, Robert Schillinger.
Barbara loved to love people. She was a kind and generous soul who will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was taken from us suddenly, but will live in our hearts forever.
