Delfina Escobar, age 84, peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Delfina was born December 24, 1937, in Vallejuelo, Departamento del Valle, Colombia, and moved to New Jersey in 1978, where she resided for 44 years.
Delfina was a devoted and faithful servant of the Lord. She rejoiced in all the little things in life, from dancing Cumbia with family to enjoying the precious views of nature. She loved her long walks in the park, gardening beautiful flowers, and taking trips to scenic lakes.
Delfina will always be remembered in our hearts as the kind, loving, caring, and selfless individual she was. She always sought to help those around her and did it all with a smile and the truest intentions. Her altruistic ways and never-ending smiles made everyone around her feel welcomed, safe, and content.
Delfina was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Del Carmen Escobar, brother, Carlos Julio Escobar, and sister Hilda Mery Escobar. She is survived by her two brothers, Jose Arturo Diaz Escobar and Edilberto Diaz, her sister, Carmen Maritza Diaz Arce, and many nephews and nieces.
A visitation and remembrance for Delfina will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.

Delfina Escobar, de 84 años, entró pacíficamente a la presencia del Señor el sábado 17 de septiembre de 2022. Delfina nació el 24 de diciembre de 1937 en Vallejuelo, Departamento del Valle, Colombia, y se mudó a New Jersey en 1978, donde residió durante 44 años.
Delfina fue una devota y fiel sierva del Señor. Se regocijaba en las pequeñas cosas de la vida, desde bailar cumbia en familia hasta disfrutar de las preciosas vistas de la naturaleza. Le encantaban las largas caminatas por el parque, la jardinería con hermosas flores y los viajes a los pintorescos lagos.
Delfina siempre será recordada en nuestros corazones como la persona amable, cariñosa, y desinteresada que era. Siempre buscó ayudar a quienes la rodeaban y lo hizo todo con una sonrisa y las intenciones más sinceras. Sus formas altruistas y sus sonrisas interminables hicieron que todos los que la rodeaban se sintieran bienvenidos, seguros y contentos.
A Delfina le precedieron en la muerte su madre, María del Carmen Escobar, su hermano Carlos Julio Escobar y su hermana Hilda Mery Escobar. Le sobreviven sus dos hermanos, José Arturo Díaz Escobar y Edilberto Díaz, su hermana, Carmen Maritza Díaz Arce, y sus muchos sobrinos y sobrinas.
El servicio de velatorio de Delfina se llevará a cabo el viernes 23 de septiembre de 2022, de 2:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m. en Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
