Franklin W Edwards

Franklin W. Edwards, 82, of Monroe Township formerly of Elizabeth, NJ passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, NJ. Frank was born on January 18,1942 in Newark, NJ to Arthur & Mildred (Rubenstein) Edwards.

Frank graduated from South Side High School, Class of 1960. He married his wife Judith in 1966. He joined the Army National Guard in 1968 and was enlisted until 1974. He worked at Fabricators Supply Co as a truck driver for 30+ years. He then worked for the Township of Union for several years until he retired in 2005.

Frank decided that retirement wasn’t for him, so he became a part time crossing guard for the township of Roselle Park for the last 10+ years.

Frank is predeceased by his parents and brother Joseph (Jack) Edwards. He is survived by his loving wife Judith (Garcia) Edwards, his beloved children, son Craig Edwards of Myrtle Beach, SC, daughters Nicole LaTorre and her husband Carmelo of Roselle Park and Kimberly Matos and her husband Antonio of Roselle Park. His adored grandchildren Nicholas LaTorre, Giovanna LaTorre, Ava LaTorre, Alexsia Matos and Ethan Matos, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation for Franklin will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
