Jose "Walter" Yataco Saravia

Jose "Walter" Yataco Saravia, age 71, of Hillside, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side on Sunday, April 30, 2023. Walter was born in Lima, Peru and immigrated to the United States in 1981. He was a huge soccer fan and enjoyed watching and playing games with his family. Other hobbies include singing, playing piano and spending time with the family. Walter worked for Puleo for 30 years as a artificial tree shaper before retiring.Walter was also a co-pastor at Ministerio de Restauracion for over 20 years. He has touched many lives during that time and was well known among fellow church goers. Walter would also assist in food banks through the church to help feed local families and would do all he could to help others in need. In addition to all he has done for the church, he was part of the church choir from the very beginning.

Walter is survived by his loving wife Gladys of 53 years, sons Omar, Jose L. and Walter D Yataco and

many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation for Walter will be held Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Guests are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, May 8, 2023 8:30AM to pay their final respects. A funeral will take place Monday, May 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Rosedale Cemetery, E Linden Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
