Manuel “Perry” DeAlmeida, III, of Elizabeth, NJ, 64, passed away at home on December 24, 2023. Perry, a graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School, was a carpenter by trade. He developed a love for animals during his childhood on Sunny Hill Farm in Millington, NJ, where he trained and rode horses competitively. Generous and devoted to his family, Perry is survived by his partner, Theresa Ineson; his mother, Anne L. DeAlmeida, of North Plainfield, NJ; sister, Gina A. DeAlmeida, of North Plainfield, NJ; his brother, the Hon. Patrick DeAlmeida, J.A.D., and his partner, William F. McCormack of Princeton, NJ; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Perry was especially close to his uncle, Anthony Mazza, of Toms River, NJ, from whom he learned many trades during the numerous years they worked together. Perry was predeceased by his father, Manuel P. DeAlmeida, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East St. George Avenue, Linden, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 853 Third Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ.
