Born and raised in Elizabeth, she left behind her mother, her siblings Phara, Ysmanie, Michael, and Kenya, along with her uncles ,aunts , cousins, beloved nephew and nieces, godchildren and many friends. Marie attended Admiral William Halsey School and worked at Forman Mills, Levi’s and Wendy’s. She was incredibly proud of herself for starting college in the spring, a new chapter she was excited for and worked hard to reach.
As the second oldest of her siblings, Marie carried a natural sense of responsibility. She was the one who made sure everything was taken care of, always putting her family first. Whether it was handling things quietly in the background or showing up when someone needed her, Marie did it with love and without hesitation.
Had a presence that filled every room. Marie was beautiful, smart, and a true free spirit. She was loving, caring, energetic, bold and funny, with a smile and laugh that people will never forget. She had a presence that filled every room. She was short just like her father- but she never let her height define her. Marie never backed down from anything. She stood strong, confident in who she was, and never let anyone make her feel small.
She loved getting dressed up, shopping online , wearing her favorite perfume( not just one but all but that who she was) and expressing herself through makeup and fashion. Music, concerts, food, social media, and time with friends brought her joy.
What truly defined Marie was her heart. She made people feel safe, deeply loved, and supported. If someone needed help, she didn’t twice- she would giver her last dime and expect nothing in return. Her kindness was genuine, her love was unconditional, and her impact powerful.
Though her time here was far too short, Marie’s spirit will live on through the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the memories that will forever be held close. She will always be missed and never forgotten.
