Born on May 26th,1950 Marie Monique Jean- Louis (nee Duperrier) was the daughter of Jean Marceus Duperrier and Luciane Louis. Though she was a woman of a few words, every soul who had the privilege of knowing her was made richer and more full, often literally, by her presence.
Monique had a quiet and gentle nature, yet her generosity spoke volumes. No one ever visited and left empty-handed. There was always something she wanted to give. Perhaps it was a piece of candy, or a small gift, whatever it was Monique was ready to slip it in your palms or pockets the moment you walked through her door. Feeding people was her love language. She made certain every guest sat down to a proper meal. You can guarantee that before leaving, she warmly and lovingly packed groceries for you to take home.
Monique had a passion for shopping. Few things brought her more joy than finding the right thing for just the right person. Her evening was spent in her favorite chair, keeping up with the entertainment world through the shows she adored. Let’s not forget her beloved soap operas, which she watched with the devotion of a deep fan, knowing every plot twist and story line. As her guest, be prepared for the passionate conversations about her beloved soap operas or from her celebrity news shows.
She leaves behind a family whose lives are woven through her quiet acts of love. Her absence will be felt in every empty chair at the dinner table and every pocket that no longer holds a surprise. She is survived by her husband Fritzner Jean- Louis, son Fritzner Jean-Louis Junior, her grandchildren Kevin Junior, Kate Mercival, Karen Monique and Khloe Tayor Jean Louis. She was preceded in death by her sisters Micheline Marceus and Cerite Duperrier and survived by her brother Fieta Duperrier and sisters Marie Therese and Reine Marie Duperrier as well as nieces and nephews and beloved friends whose lives she touched with generosity.
Matant Monique, or as her husband endearingly called her, Momo, your presence will be sorely missed. May your beautiful soul rest in peace.
