

Lisbon Falls - Mary H. House, age 94 of Lisbon Falls, died Tuesday evening April 10th at her home. She was born in Lisbon Falls on December 2, 1917, daughter of Joseph and Anna Andrjoichk Klimko. Mary was educated in local schools, graduated from Lisbon Falls High School in 1935 and remained a lifelong resident of this community .She was an avid Red Sox fan as well as an all-around sports fan. She enjoyed music, reading, playing Bingo and many trips to Foxwoods and Hollywood Slots. In her earlier years, she liked dancing. But most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending quality times with them. In 1941, she married Franklyn House at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Lisbon Falls. They enjoyed 38 wonderful years of marriage until his death on July 13, 1979. Mary first worked as a Floor Lady in the mending department of Worumbo Mill for 25 years and later worked a total of 44 years for the State of Maine as a secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services, including 29 years at Pineland Center, 8 years at Freeport Towne Square, and 7 years in Lewiston, until her retirement on June 25, 2010 at the age of 92. She was a devoted Catholic and was currently a communicant of Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Trinity Church. She was a member of The Holy Rosary Society and a 50-year and charter member of The Daughters of Isabella. She leaves a daughter Patricia Novak of Millbury, MA; five grandchildren Dr. Kristen Rollins of New Gloucester, Kerry Volk and husband Peter of Cumberland, Kevin Rollins and wife Elizabeth of No. Yarmouth, and twin grandsons Barry Novak Sr. and wife Lisa of Auburn, MA and Brian Novak and wife Erin of Oxford, MA; five great-grandchildren Barry Novak Jr. of PA, Kieran Volk, Kalei Volk and Aidan Volk of Cumberland and Winter Rollins of No. Yarmouth; and two step-great-grandchildren Alyssa and Matt of Auburn, MA. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a daughter Pamela Rollins, an infant son Franklyn Jr. and three brothers Joseph, John and Amel.
