

Arthur “Art” Duprey Sr, beloved husband of the late Joan Duprey, age 90, of Valrico FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born in Chicago to the late Ezra and May Duprey, and he grew up on the near west side just off the Eisenhower Expressway.
Art worked at Bunny Candies and for Chicago Streets and Sanitation in his youth; in the 60’s, he began working at 208 S LaSalle as an Engineer, retiring as Chief Engineer- over his lifetime, he had many great achievements.
He loved playing with the grandkids, especially at his Wisconsin lake house; it brought him lots of joy.
Art’s hobbies included horseshoes, bowling, gambling, football, cards, racquetball, pogo, walking, boxing, and cage-fighting. He was especially known for his Chicken Dance, and was a special lover of Duct Tape.
Art loved Illinois but his happy place was in Florida and the warm weather.
He was the loving father of Art (Joy) Duprey Jr, Diana (Bill) Pyles, Denise (Ken) Harkins, Dorene (Dan Richardson) Tittle, Dan (Pat) Duprey, the late Pam Jabczynski, and Tom (John) Duprey.
He was the cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Art was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings and 2 stepbrothers.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 4-7 P.M. at Blake Lamb Funeral Home in Lisle at 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532, with a funeral service at 7 P.M.
