Aunty Cheryl, it has taken a while to write this because I don't think it has fully sunken in that you are no longer physically here with us. Our journey started in 1993 at LPTC and blossomed into a beautiful relationship over the years. You became good friends with my mother Gloria and up to your last visit in Jamaica, the memories created have been and will be unforgettable. We'll continue to say 'Let's stick the cake' and your other popular phrases. Your big, sociable and warm personality will always be cherished and as I said to you in our last conversation, you will always be in our hearts. Deepest condolences to the family from Alicia, Gloria, Nicholas and Nayeli.

Mummy Thorne was a kind and gentle soul. She was 'grandma' to my daughter, Ally's friend from prep school to young adulthood. The way she said things made us laugh.  She had a way of getting you to do  her bidding, even when you had other pressing engagements! I find it difficult to think of Gen and her girls without her precious mum. RIP beautiful lady forever in our hearts.💕

Auntie Cheryl was blessed and was indeed a blessing to all persons she came in contact with. Her beautiful smile and kind heart, always sharing encouraging words will always be remembered.  She will indeed be missed as she was truly loved. May your soul continue to rest in peace auntie.

Rest in peace my sister, God knows the best,we will meet in the sweet by and by. Sleep on beloved.

God know  best  and we are thankful for the good times  we have all share in cousin Cheryl  live  weather near or far. May God continued to strengthen and comfort.   My precious moments  too much to mention. But when we were living  at Uitvulgt  Estate  compound,    the cooking  baking laughing eating  and the house full at family  time.  Friday's   was always a good day "Payday "and  the factory and office workers always looking forward to purchasing  Black pudding  and poluri from Aunty Bev.

Mrs. Thorne facilitated God's time ministry rehearsals and get togethers at her house in Jamaica. She welcomed us in her home and showed love to all of us. She was a great woman, filled with good vibes. My sincerest condolences to the entire family, especially Mr. Gordon Thorne ❤️.

Where to begin?! Genny'mom was such a pleasant person to be around. I first met her when she came for visits to Barbados where I lived at the time. She always had a warm smile and instantly made me and my family feel welcome whenever we came over to visit I will never forget her calm presence and her wisdom and oh did she dote on Genny and the girls! She was truly a rock and such a pillar of strength. She will truly be missed. Although we are saddened by the loss of our dear beloved relative, we are thankful for the precious times we shared throughout the years. Cheryl brought light, joy and happiness in the lives of many.  There were many jovial moments with your tantalizing jokes and encouraging words which helped to lift one's spirit even when facing life's challenges.
It was indeed a joy and privilege to have been blessed with your life.  Those moments we shared were precious and will never be forgotten. May your soul rest in eternal  peace.

Gen and family, may Cheryl's love ,kindness and laughter  continue to live always within you all. Her life was a blessing to everyone that met her.

Our condolences to Gen and family. My fondest memory of mum is spending a day cruising the ocean in Barbados on a catamaran with her. It was heartbreaking to hear of her passing. I remember Mrs Thorne as a jovial, warm, hospitable and classy lady. I will never forget going by her home one day and saw her all dressed up, lipstick and all, sitting on the verandah. I thought she waa going out and suggested same. She said, in her distinct Guyanese accent, "I ain't going nowhere. Mr Thorne soon come home,  so I dress up for him." Such was the class of the lady. I always felt welcomed and accepted around her. 

My prayers are with you all. God will strengthen you. Keep her precious memories alive.

To Gen and the family. It truly was an honour to know and love your mum who I called mummy. Your mother was a loving and caring woman. Always looking dashing with a beautiful smile on her face. I Will forever cherish the memories we shared and what a beautiful person mummy was. She was indeed a bright light in this world, and her absence will be felt by many.
