With shock, I just heard about Gregg's passing. Gregg and I were coworkers at Medical Murray where he was an integral part of our small production team. He was smart, irreverent, and very funny.  He worked hard but didn't take himself too seriously.  When things were tense, you could always count on Gregg's irreverent sense of humor to lighten things up. 

Gregg loved his dogs, and he may even have had a spot in his heart for his crazy bird! How a man treats his animals says a lot about his character. 

Gregg often talked about his dreams of traveling.  When I last heard from him in Jan 2012, he was enjoying early "retirement".  He didn't know where life was taking him next, but he was looking forward to new adventures.

Gregg, I am so sorry.  You were a great man and you will not be forgotten.

I am so sad to hear of Gregg's passing. As a co-worker at Insertech and a friend, Gregg taught me so much about industrial manufacturing that was invaluable to me throughout the years.  If I ever had a question on machinery, he was only a phone call away.  What a loss to everyone.  His smile and goodness will be missed by everyone who knew him.

I was very shocked to hear of Gregg's passing.  He was always fun and lighthearted about things.  I was a cowroker but I also considered him to be a friend.  Very sad news.  My condolences to him family and friends.

You were always there when you were needed the most. We went through hardship, but you always managed to either make me smile, or have a smile return to your face, soon enough.
Greggie; You leave me some really happy memories. I will miss you forever, and so will Cris.

From the first moment that I met Gregg I experienced everything that made him the great man that he is. Gregg had the unique ability to make mundane moments sparkle and an irreverent wit  that always got me to "lighten up" whenever I got too serious. Gregg was someone who always made the outsider feel like an insider ... Someone who made loners feel like a part of the family. Gregg always made you feel included ... and that you mattered. It's that kind, warm, generous, spirit that defines what Gregg is all about.  We had a lot of great times "in the old days ... at the very beginning of it all." Those are memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. I will always miss you My Dear Friend.

. I have so many memories of Gregg camping, fishing, traveling, or just hanging out.  He was funny, generous, and very intelligent.  He was a good friend to me and I love him.  I hope he is happy and at peace.

Gregg was that true friend that allowed our relationship to pick up where it left off if we didn't see each other for some time.  So many good times, so many good memories, such a good man. He shared his home, family and friends with all he met, he was one of the kindest persons I have ever met.  He left us way too soon, I am still trying to accept this sad reality, and the only thing that is helping is having all the good memories to hang on to... Thank you Gregg for being you.  You made life more fun for all.

I worked with Gregg at Tricon Industries starting in 1998. We had many funny experiences and lunches together. We went to plastic molding training seminars together and some trade shows downtown. He was always smiling and  laughing. Just a great friend, fair, honest, and caring.

One fond memory of Gregg was having fun fishing in Florida with him at his dad's place a while ago. They had a good laugh when I almost got attacked by a large alligator that made a huge splash in front of the boat I was sitting in with them. I faced the back of the boat so I could not see what was going on. I guess I should have know better than to fish with them in "Gator Hole" bay. He loved telling that story and how white I turned when I thought I was going to be an alligator snack.

Gregg you will be greatly missed by myself and many others. Thanks for being a good friend.

I am sorry that I did not get to spend more time with Greg, but very happy for the day that we met. The love that so many have for him, and have had for so long, speaks volumes to the wonderful person that Greg was. 

Rest in Peace, Dear Greg, and warmest wishes of comfort and condolence to all of your loved ones.

With all the beauties of seasons past, look softly with the eyes of love and listen with your heart...Greg will be there.

While employed as Plant Manager at InserTech you were a highly respected member of our senior staff and a good friend to your co-workers. You will be sincerely missed by us all.

Gregg was one of my most cherished childhood lifelong friends.   We will miss you so much.

Gregg was an Inspiration and a breath of fresh air, He has a great way of talking to people and motivating others. He was truly a person that would of rather gave then got. Gregg was the type of guy that would give you his shirt off his back, even if it were 10 below, and pretend that he wasn't cold, just so that you would be warm. He never had a problem driving, donating, or having a great time, with Everyone! Here's to you Gregg Vanicek!!! You will always be remembered. Always and Forever!  God Bless and Gods Speed Gregg!!!!

 To me you will always be alive in my heart. You have left me ample memories to remember you by for the rest of my life. I don't think I will ever come to terms with you being gone forever. I'm missing you already.

Gregg the most nice guy on earth who made me the most lucky guy on earth. I loved you much, I love you so much and I will always love you. I miss you so much.

You have been a part of my life so long that I can't imagine not being able to hear your voice again. We shared some beautiful carefree times as well as some harder "grown up" struggles together. I always new I could count on you to be there when you were needed. You were taken from us too soon and too sudden. My friend I am going to miss you, your stories, and your laughter.

As a friend to so many you will be greatly missed.  We are all blessed to have you as a friend and part of our lives.

So many of my childhood memories have you in them. My favorite of course is the "Blackwell Blob" and the list goes on. You found much joy in tormenting us kids.
