James J. Duffin, 67, longtime resident of Woodridge, at rest April 10, 2019. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Heniff), married for 43 years. Loving father of Margaret (Jeff) Hooks, Katherine Duffin, and Emily Duffin. Son of the late Thomas J. Duffin, Retired CFD Captain, and Marie F. Duffin. Loving son-in-law of the late John A. Heniff and late Ruth M. Heniff. Brother of Robert (Sue) Duffin and the late Brother Thomas G. Duffin C.F.C. Caring uncle and godfather of Ellen (Matt) Henning. Fond brother-in-law, uncle, and cousin to numerous members of the Fitzgerald, Heniff, and Moore families. Graduate of Brother Rice High School (’69) and St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN (’73). James was a longtime and active member of Plumbers Local 130, St. Scholastica Parish in Woodridge where he served as an usher, former member of the Knights of Columbus, and could be seen regularly at the Woodridge Athletic Recreation Center (A.R.C.). James worked for Certified Grocers, Crown Lift Trucks, and most recently retired from Kroschell Engineering. A memorial visitation will be held Monday April 22 at Blake - Lamb Funeral Home 5015 Lincoln Ave., Lisle. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM Tuesday April 23 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church, 7800 Janes Ave., Woodridge. For more information please call (630) 964-9392.
