James R. Garner, age 88, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2014. Longtime resident of Lisle, IL. He was an avid sports fan and loved his Chicago teams. Loving father of David (Angela) Garner and Paula (Noah) Garner-Weiner; Cherished grandfather of Brandon, Zachary, and Gabriel; Caring uncle, brother, and friend to many. James was highly involved in his Church activities and was a popular stamp and baseball card collector. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Edith, and his son, Steven. Funeral service will be on Friday, November 14 at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home at 10 A.M. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 13 from 4-9 P.M., also at the funeral home. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.
