James D. Mitsch passed away March 14th, 2023 at home in Lisle, Illinois. Born in 1967 to George and Rozanne (neé Wendland), James attended Downers Grove North High School prior to studying at the University of Indiana. After a short stint in New York, he returned to the Chicago area, married and started his family. James became a father in 1999 and again in 2001, both sons which became his pride in life.
Preceded in death by his sister Tracey, James is survived by his parents, his former wife Kelly, sons Connor and Cameron, and countless relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. A loving father and kindhearted man, he would not hesitate to make sacrifices for the benefit of others. James was intelligent, adventurous, and ambitious, though he never failed to make time for those he cared about. His legacy will live on through his family and friends that he touched and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
