I have a positive memory of my dad helping me with a student council speech in fifth grade.  A few others when visiting him in Florida.  I am thankful for my dad giving me the gift of life, and perhaps the ability/confidence to speak to a group on behalf of a passion or mission.   I appreciate the brief words he spoke in loving support of my mom on my wedding day.  It is important to look at the positives, leaving the rest which can never be changed, in the river view mirror.  It is amazing how one stone thrown into a sea of water, has a rippling effect for all eternity.  Jesus I trust in you!

I miss my grandpa so much. When I lived in Florida my dad ( Rick ) and I would visit him almost everyday. Grandpa will be dearly missed.

Here it is Fathers day and I am just hearing of your loss. I went to take my Dad out to dinner and he handed me the web address and asked me to look it up for him. I know that in his younger days that Patrick was probably his best freind. Some of my fondest chilhood memories are of the Reidys in good old Lisle Ill.I am sure he wiil be missed.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your father.  Oddly enough, I came upon it by accident.  I remember all the good times we shared at Riedy's Tee Time.  I can still remember you Dad asking me when I was moving to Hot Springs Arkansas, if that was below "burnt mattress" how funny!  Also, remember setting off the fireworks at Tee Time.  Your Dad will be greatly missed.  It's so heart-breaking when you lose your parents, as we are all aware of.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  God Bless the Riedy family.

I am so sorry to hear about your father's passing. He phoned daddy a few months before he died and they had planned to meet for lunch but it never worked-out. I'm sure they are having a great conversation now. I have so many wild and great memories of our families together. Living in Mississippi, I especially think of the crazy week we all spent together at Easter on the ranch. Pat & Patsy were my sponsors for Confirmation. I chose the name "Patrick" and I still have the St. Patrick statue that they gave me. My best to each and every one of you.

I'm sorry we can't be with you to celebrate Pat's life but I'd like to share fond memories.  Jean's memories go all the way back to two adventurous little boys.  Mine go back to when Pat was our "Best Man" at our wedding.  And he truly was the "Best" from that day to this.  We will miss the occasional phone calls to say "I love you Wiener". Since ancient times, in all forms of literature, we learned all heroes are flawed. Yet, we know that all who are flawed are not heroes. This conflict defines our humanity, and our perceptions. As heroism as well as flaws can be imposed by others, this conflict is carried by all of us. We see in others, and ourselves, both heroics and flawed character; uniting all of us. We are, ultimately, left on our own to acknowledge our flaws and to strive, however cautiously, to find a hero in ourselves and in each other. Pat's journey was not easy; it is up to us to remember him as best we can, and to do the best we can to take our lessons, and our memories, on our own journeys.

My sympathies to my cousins on the passing of their father and grandfather, my uncle, my Godfather. May Uncle Pat rest in peace.
