The funeral mass will be at 10:45 AM on June 10th at St. Isidore’s Parish church in Bloomingdale, IL. Friends and family are invited to arrive at 10:15 AM as Tom’s urn and a photo will be available for viewing at the church. A luncheon will be held at Tom and Carol’s neighborhood Club House from 12:15 PM to 3:30 PM. The address is 1960 S Brandon Dr., Glendale Heights, IL 60139.
Tom was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 23rd, 1939. At the age of 23 he joined the Army where he specialized as a Medical Corpsman. After his military service, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) where he nearly completed a degree in zoology. Following his university education, Tom worked in managerial positions for JC Penny and as an account representative for Humphreys.
He is best known as a person who loved life, was grounded in honor, quick to offer help and had an easy sense of humor. One friend explained that “Tom’s presence filled the room with vitality and a positive attitude”. He loved watching football with his sons, participating in fantasy leagues, playing golf, cooking and tending his garden while family, friends, nature and fishing were his refuge.
Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; his son Robert and his wife Amanda and his stepson Sebastian and his former wife Audra; his brother’s wife Karen, their children and spouses Kristen (Scott) St. Lawrence and Keith (Michelle) Piotrowski; his great niece and nephew; and the rest of his friends and family.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Adeline and Henry (Hank) Piotrowski, his son Scott Piotrowski, and his brother Ken Piotrowski.
