

Betty J. Hoyt, 86, of Little Rock, died September 21, 2015. Born July 31, 1929 in Clarksville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of John W. and Pearl Gilbert Yearwood.A 1947 graduate of Little Rock High School, she was a retired secretary with National Equity Life Insurance Company and was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church.A gracious lady, her family came first and she loved to bake, especially annual ginger-bread houses. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis J. Hoyt, Sr., her son, Louis J. Hoyt, Jr. and her brother, John W. Yearwood,Jr. Survivors are three daughters, Brenda Black (Hal), Sandy Dunlap and Laura Wallace; son, John Hoyt (Carleton), and daughter-in-law, Lisa Hoyt, all of Little Rock; granddaughters, Holly Dunlap, Brooke Wallace, Sally McDonald (Josh), and Susan Hoyt and a great- grandson, Landon Queen. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Forest Hills Memorial Park with Father Erik Pohlmeier officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Butch King officiating in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111.
