To his loved and cherished ones as well as his countless friends, he was known as Charlie. Charlie loved life and undoubtedly lived it to the fullest to the point of overflow.
What was memorable about him was that he himself was memorable! If you were blessed to encounter and be introduced to him, the impression he left would never be forgotten. Charlie welcomed many into his home for fellowship of a delicious, fulfilling, home cooked meal, heartfelt laughter, and a friendly wager over cards, darts, and Backgammon. You could find Charlie hard at work pleasing people in your favorite local grocery store's produce department. He not only provided the fresh fruits and veggies on your shopping list, he offered a recipe to accompany those ingredients. His conversations were full of joy and laughter. This man delivered an unforgettable shopping experience!!!
Charlie was Heavenly welcomed with love by his father, Charles Nelson Bridges, mother, Neoma Quast Bridges, mother in law, Peggy June Heffington, brother in law, Russel Don Heffington, and grandson, Juste Todd Lewellen. Charlie loved flowers and prided himself upon his grand bouquets he gifted to many. Charlie's daughters are requesting that in honor of their father that attendees return the gift and bring delightfully, colorful bouquets of blooms and their most memorable story to share.
"Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them bleed in something that's larger than life then his essence, his spirit will be immortalized by the story tellers."
