Dorothy Mae Reed

Dorothy Mae Reed, 94, of Little Rock, known to most as "Dot", passed away on February 8, 2025. She was born March 24, 1930, in East End, Arkansas, to the late Elva and Edna (Lawhon) Reed. In addition to her parents, Dot will be welcomed into Heaven by her beloved sister and best friend Billie Jean Reed.

Dot was a member of South Highland Baptist Church and, in her later years, LifeWay Baptist Church. She and her sister Billie enjoyed the South Highland Senior 39ers Choir and the fellowship of LifeWay as they kept close to both church families.

Dot spent her working years at Union Bank of Little Rock, from which she retired.

In her free time, Dot loved watching classic Western films and making new friends, including the close bonds she formed with the staff of Briarwood Nursing and Rehab.

Those left to cherish their memories of Dot include her dear friends Terri Reddin, Ralph Parker, Dora Linn, Brooke Tillbrooks and her husband Owen and son Vander, Annita Linsey, B. J. Bierman, George and Shirley Sims and a host of cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2025, with visitation thirty minutes before the service at 1:00 pm at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home. Following the service, Dot will be laid to rest beside her sister in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
