

Henry Wyatt (Hank) Wade, age 98 died on August 5, 2025. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on June 11, 1927 to Samuel Vernon Wade and Christine Sandlin Wade. He was preceded in death by his dearly beloved wife of 67 years, Betty Jean Wade (nee Bryan), by his parents and his brothers Dr. Robert Vernon Wade of Canton, Ohio, James Hays Wade of Little Rock, Edgar Sandlin Wade and sister Nola Ann Wade of Cincinnati, and his son Henry Grady (Hank) Wade. He is survived by his brother John Spencer Wade and sister Marja Wade Barrett of Cincinnati, son Vernon Paul Wade (Betty), daughter Wendy Wade Bell (Gary), granddaughter Shelly Wade, grandson Michael Wyatt Wade (Tiffany), step-grandsons, Guy William and Eric Christopher Bell, great granddaughters Haley Christine Wade, Isabelle Marie Wade, great grandsons Even Wyatt Wade and Jacob Wade. Hank grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, graduating from Walnut Hills High School in 1945. He joined the Navy Air Corps and served until November of 1947. Hank graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BBA Degree and was elected for Beta Gamma Sigma National Scholastic Society. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Hank and Betty moved to her hometown of Memphis where he became the office manager at King Records. He enjoyed calling on the Memphis area disc jockeys and witnessed first hand Memphis evolution from Rock-a-Billy to Elvis. He later became employed in Little Rock in the HVAC business and moved to Little Rock to start his own business. He was an "Automatic Controls and Management" contractor. With the capable assistance of his wife, Betty, they founded Wade Company in Little Rock in 1959. Hank was president of Wade Company until 1992 and retired in 1997. He was a long time member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, was a chapter Past President and was elected to the Little Rock Chapter "Hall of Fame". Hank was a member of the Little Rock Rotary Club for over 40 years and a "Paul Harris Fellow". After retirement, Hank volunteered at Arkansas Children's Hospital. He was a member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will begin 2:00 p.m., Sunday August 10, 2025 followed by memorial services at 3:00 p.m., both in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Healy and Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock (501-661-9111) with Dr. Randy Hyde officiating. Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2025 at Roselawn Park, 2801 Asher Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, 2200 Kavanaugh Blvd. Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
