Jack L. Sheffer, 85, of Little Rock, died May 18, 2020. Born November 18, 1934 in Portand, Indiana, he was the son of Ervin and Faye Cole Sheffer. He retired in 1978 as Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed model airplanes and fishing.
Preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years, Jean Havens Sheffer; and his sister, Betty Markley, he is survived by his daughter, Vickie Gann (Rick) of Bryant, Arkansas and a nephew, Evan Markley.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (661-9111) with Rev. Ben Leonard officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by Little Rock Air Force Base Funeral Honors Team. Interment will be private at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
