Barbara Beck passed away on Monday, August 19th, 2013. Funeral services will be held at Bernheim-Apter Funeral Chapel, 68 Short Hills Rd., Livingston, N.J., at 2pm on Tuesday, Aug. 20th, 2013. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, 19 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, N.J. Barb was born on May 18, 1940 in Caldwell, New Jersey. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School and attended Hunter College and lived in Livingston with her loving family for most her adult life. Barbara was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Donald. She is survived by her brother, Philip Hilowitz, daughters, Lauren (and Michael) Pines, Jill (and David) Goret, and Dana (and Robert) Hamwee; and grandchildren Danielle, Alana and Callie Pines, Jessie-Rose, Ari and Joey Goret, Olivia and Jonathan Hamwee. The family encourages donations to be made to charities of choice in memory of Barbara Beck.
