Beth avidly read, and she loved mysteries, history, Nantucket, good food, sports, Jeopardy, the family dog, and family time. Beth was the loving wife of her husband of 38 years, David Mebane, and her two sons, Peter and Edward, were her pride and joy. Beth and David were often seen supporting the boys at sports and other events.
Beth grew up in Commack, NY, and graduated from UVA (1981) and BU Law School (1984). After moving to New Jersey, she worked in the Governor’s Office and then practiced law. She ultimately followed her passion for reading and books by earning a masters’ in library science from Rutgers University (2006), and she worked as a research librarian in the Westfield Library from 2006 until her passing.
Beth is survived by David, Peter and Edward, her mother Esther Pollack, her brother Howard Pollack, her aunt and uncle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
