

Caryl Linett passed away at home on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Born and raised in New York, she lived in Manhattan and Summit, NJ before moving to West Orange twenty-two years ago. A graduate of Bronx High School of Science, she holds a B.A. with a major in English Literature from Hunter College, and studied toward her master’s in English at Case Western Reserve University.
Caryl has been in advertising for over 30 years. She established Linett & Harrison in April 1989, with partner Sam Harrison. She was formerly president, creative director and partner of Keyes Martin Gaby Linett when it was one of the largest advertising agencies in New Jersey.
Caryl Linett was a hands-on creative director. Her work has received hundreds of prestigious awards in print, radio and television and she was selected as one of the outstanding creative people in the Northeast by Ad Day.
She found joy in life through reading, movies, working out and spending time with her family.
Caryl was the beloved wife of Gene Linett for 55 years, loving mother of Dana Linett Silber (Uzi) and Andrea Linett (Michael Waring), devoted grandmother of Jack, Libby and Asher Silber and Gino Waring, cherished sister of Gerson and the late Robert Levitas, and aunt to Ethan Levitas, Andrew Levitas, and Jessica House.
