Dean grew up in Livingston, NJ, raised his children in Warren, NJ and has lived in Lebanon, NJ for the last several years. Dean graduated high school from Newark Academy in 1985. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Memphis State University in 1991 and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1995.
Dean is predeceased by his father Joseph Larkey and sister Cheryl Larkey. He is survived by his loving wife of many years Anne Brown Larkey, their children Matthew Larkey and Samantha Larkey; his mother Ruth Larkey, his siblings and their spouses: Lisa Larkey-Martins and Clerio Martins, Adam Larkey, Nicole Larkey Wichtendahl and Robert Wichtendahl; his nieces and nephews Zachary and Peri Martins; Justin, Noah and Aiden Larkey; Sara, Jack and Julie Wichtendahl; his loving friend Geraldine Snyder; his Bernese Mountain Dog Sadie; and an immeasurable number of friends.
Bright, witty, and profoundly generous, Dean was a foodie who loved cars, sports, fashion, and dogs, but above all, his children, who he was so proud of. He had an uncanny ability to have an in-depth conversation just about anything. He led a successful career in real estate and construction management. Dean was president of the Wolet Group in New York City. Dean will be forever missed by so many.
