Visitation will be held at the LaMonica Memorial Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, from 4-8 pm.
Services will commence on Wednesday, December 4. 2019 with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield at 10 am followed by the Entombment in Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
Born and raised in Italy by the late Anthony and Caterina Florio, Fortunata immigrated to the U.S. in 1950 settling in NYC. She lived in North Grafton, Mass. and then moved to Glen Ridge where she lived for 44 years before retiring to Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains 8 years ago.
Fortunata worked as a clerical worker for The Prudential in Newark for 10 years, retiring 40 years ago.
She was the beloved wife of the late Domenico Palma, MD, loving mother of Tatiana Palma, Rocco Palma, Anthony Palma, and Gabriella Palma, MD, dear sister of Adelina Buccisano, and the late Mary Napoli and Paula Gaglioti, adored grandmother of Renee, Brett, Deanna, Sabrina, Patrick, Emily, Olivia, Caterina, and Sienna, cherished great grandmother of Alex and Matthew, and beloved mother-in-law of Christine Grace, Christine Annette and James Semmens.
