Mr. Frank D. Levi, Jr. of Short Hills, N.J. passed away Saturday July 7, 2018. He was born March 31, 1935 in East Orange, NJ, son of Frank and Edith Levi. He graduated from Columbia High School in 1953 and earned a degree at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of the Phi Epsilon Pi Fraternity. He served in the Army and spent the majority of his career as an artist known for his Wordgraphics.
Having had cardiac surgery at ages 49 and 70, he became a passionate volunteer for Mended Hearts at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He had a natural talent for music and enjoyed playing guitar when he was younger and piano later in life. He had a voracious appetite for information and was a prolific reader.
Married for more than 40 years to his wife Lynn, who predeceased him, they were known for traveling around the world for friends weddings and dressing up as clowns for children in various charities.
Survived by his loving partner Judy Baker, who he has spent the past 11 years with, they were fixtures at Friday night services at Temple B’nai Jeshurun. Frank was best known for his infectious laugh and great sense of humor. He was a kind person who most cherished his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friendships.
Predeceased by his wife Lynn, he is survived by his two sons, Gregg Levi, wife Theresa, and children Joshua, Jordan and Ethan of Wellington, Fl.; Dr. David Levi, wife Dina, and children Max, Noah and Madeline of Wilton, Ct.; and loving partner Judy Baker.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 13th at 10:00am in Temple B’nai Jeshurun 1025 South Orange Avenue, Short Hills, NJ. Interment will be in B’nai Jeshurun Cemetery, Hillside, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston, NJ.
