Gesumena was a long-time communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Belleville, where she was a eucharistic minister, helped at the soup kitchen, and helped with many other events and activities throughout the years.
Gesumena is predeceased by her dear husband, Frank Tortoriello, Jr., her parents Martin and Anna Christiana, and her brother Angelo Christiana. She leaves behind her loving daughters, JoyceAnn Verrico, Paula Mostillo, and Kathleen Ferrari, her four adoring grandchildren Mario Verrico Jr., Christopher Fiorenza, Jeremy Mostillo, and Faith Mostillo, and sister, Camille Rajkumar.
Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 10 am at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 155 William Street, Belleville, NJ. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
